Sweat lodge Summer Solstice in Silence
Near Ghent, Belgium
Purification ritual in nature
Time to celebrate the longest day of the year together. With Litha (Midsummer) everything reaches a climax. Around us is an explosion of green. The fertility of the crops is now at maximum. In the plant kingdom, growth now turns to maturation. And Midsummer fires are lit to honour the sun so that the sun can provide warmth for as long as possible for a good harvest. Time to dance and sing around the fire!
Our thoughts, emotions, insights, stories, songs,… are shared and we invite the SILENCE in the sweat lodge to really LISTEN to all there is in every moment. So our true essence can be experienced.
Welcome to this loving circle! Welcome to this silent sweat lodge! Welcome summer.
Program
- Together we build the sweat lodge at 21h00 and lit the fire to connect with each other, the stones and the fire.
- Approximately 3h later we go into the sweat lodge (when the stones are hot) until the next morning.
- After the sweat lodge we make time to share experiences and food (potluck) — Bring something nice to share with the rest.
